Licensed Professional Counselor | Hybrid In-Person / Remote Job Position
Job Description: We are seeking a licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) to join our team as an independent contractor. As a Professional Counselor at Agape, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule in an in person and/or remote work from home setting. The ideal candidate is always learning, collaborates well with others and has a heart for serving clients from both an evidence based and a faith based counseling perspective. (Supervision is available for provisionally licensed counselors.) Responsibilities: Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions, in-person and/or via HIPAA compliant online platform. Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for clients. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations via online EMR system. Utilize evidence-based and faith-based therapeutic approaches to support client needs. Maintain a consistent caseload of ~20+ weekly sessions for part-time, or ~30+ weekly sessions for full-time. Attend weekly staffing meetings. Adhere to all professional and ethical guidelines. Qualifications: Must hold a valid and active license (PLPC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in MO or IL. Experience in telehealth and/or in-person therapy settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload. Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience counseling couples, individuals, children and/or families. Ability to collaborate well with other counselors. Benefits: Supervision available for provisionally licensed counselors to fulfill state licensure requirements. Compensation ranges from 50% to 75% (scaled based on licensure level and caseload size). Average annual take home between $40k – $60k for part time caseload Average annual take home between $50k – $90k for full time caseload Steady flow of referrals and diverse clientele. Practicum & Internship Opportunities
Agape Christian Counseling Services provides a supportive and professional environment for students pursuing a career in counseling. We are currently offering counseling internship opportunities for graduate-level students in Masters Counseling programs. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a private practice setting under the supervision of licensed professionals. Position Overview: As a Counseling Intern at Agape Christian Counseling Services, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations of a counseling practice while developing your clinical skills. You will be involved in administrative tasks, client interaction, and, depending on your program, providing direct therapy under supervision. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional counseling setting. Key Responsibilities: Assist with administrative tasks such as phone management, client intake, and assisting with practice paperwork. Participate in group counseling facilitation. Provide direct counseling services under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor. Develop treatment plans and maintain progress notes. Manage a caseload of clients. Complete a required number of hours per semester (300 hours for internship students, including 120 direct client hours). Attend regular supervision meetings and workshops. Qualifications: Graduate-level student pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field. Available for at least 8 hours per week (hours may include regular business hours during weekdays, and/or evenings and Saturdays) Commitment to providing professional, ethical counseling services. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with other professionals. Additional Information: Unpaid Internship: This is an unpaid position, but provides invaluable hands-on experience and supervision.
